Hello everyone!
Michelle here and it's time for September Brown Owls. How fast is this year moving along!
Recently Shannon and I were approached by a charity to see whether the Southside ladies would want to help them make finger puppets. And we thought this was a great idea! Here is the google link to a whole bunch or
patterns.
So bring some felt, a needle and thread (and we'll have some in the studio as well for you to use) and let's make some puppets:)
"Ardoch Youth Foundation in St Kilda runs ‘Play, Learn, Read’, a specialist
reading program for young children in disadvantaged areas of Melbourne. We
have a team of fantastic volunteers who read and play with the children in
kindergartens each week to help develop their reading and oral language. We
have a range of picture books and some general finger puppets but would
really like our volunteers to be able to use finger puppets that reflect
the animals in the stories they are reading with the children such as
Possum Magic and Wombat Stew."
