Hi there Owlies,
This month we've got a pattern for a shopping bag made from cloth, which Martine has perfected!
You don't need to bring anything unless you would like to choose your own fabric - then you will need 1 metre each of your main fabric and your liner.
We have a number of donated fabrics here and you are welcome to choose from them.
We will also be able to teach learn to knit and crochet, or you can bring along your own projects to work on.
We've had a suggestion about organising an Op shopping trip - it would have to take place on a week day as most of the Op Shops shut on the weekend. At this stage, Wednesday has been the most popular, if you can give me some feedback, I will know if it is worthwhile to organise it.

Need a necklace to coordinate with your outfits but can't find just the right one? Then why not make your own!? And whilst you're at it, why not make some matching earrings. Okay, maybe you mightn't want to get too matchy- matchy. These necklaces would make great gifts for yourself or a friend so bring your fabric scraps and get button-ey with us. We promise they are super easy!
When: Wed 23rd June Time: 7-9:30pm Where: Box Factory - Adelaide Community Centre, 59 Regent St South Adelaide Cost: $2 donation to the Box Factory Numbers: We have room for 24 Owls - the first 24 to RSVP are IN! What to bring:

Canberra Brown Owls - Yarnie Gras!
Wanna learn to knit? Or develop those crochet skills you picked up last month? Well we're all about yarn-based crafts for our next meeting (Saturday 19th June). We'll have folks around to help you with both knitting and crochet so let us know if you're a learner in the comments.
All you need to bring is some yarn and an appropriately sized crochet hook or needles. If you’re a total beginner, 8ply yarn and a 4mm hook/needles should do it! You can get a hook or needles from a yarn store, Lincraft or Spotlight, or even BigW - if you’re having trouble or need more info on supplies, let us know!
Maybe you want to try your own yarn-based craft? Finger knitting? Macrame? Weaving? Bring it on! We'd all love to see it.
The details:
Saturday 19 June at 2pm at the Downer Community Centre (off Frencham St) and $6 to cover the room hire. You can bring a plate to share for afternoon tea if you feel so inclined. We’ll bring the tea and coffee and get there early to put the heaters on!
See you on Saturday!

Preston crafty fun times…
For all those lovely ladies that were at the last meet, we talked about meeting up in June. I’m flying off to Europe tomorrow night, so it’s up to you Preston gals to chat amongst yourselves and tee up a date, place and time.
To kick things off how about the following:
Date: Sunday 20th June
Time: 2pm-4pm
Place: Pearl Oyster Café, 114 Miller Street Preston.
Cost: Its free, but as usual please bring along some spare change and try a lovely tea or coffee, not too much to ask for a couple of hours in such an ace place!
RSVP: right here in the comments section and feel free to offer up a change of venue or anything else you might like to suggest.
