FELT BALL MAKING WORKSHOP
with
the utterly adorable
(coz she’s Irish not because she’s short)
Allanagh O’Donnell
The delightful Allanagh,
textile artiste extraordinaire,
will be taking us through an informal workshop
on
Wednesday 29th August
at 7pm
at the Sporting Club, Weston
St, Brunswick, Victoria.
You can make all sorts of crafty things with your felty balls- garlands, mobiles, beads, earrings, brooches, wreaths, toys, pin cushions, you name it! If you’re really keen you could whip up the freckle rug!
Get
on Pinterest to have a
look-see at the possibilities!
You
will need:
1.
A sense of adventure
2.
A few bucks donation for merino
wool (I’ll be purchasing our goodies from the Yarn Barn in West Coburg at $6
per 100 grams. Bargain!)
OR
some sweet merino wool
tops from your stash.
I
will bring:
1.
A sense of adventure
2.
Merino wool tops in fabulous
colours (not ones you wear my darling friends)
3.
Buckets and basins
4.
Dishwashing liquid
5.
Gloves for the eczema-affected
6.
A kettle for warm water
7.
A jug
8.
Warm towels & plastic
sheets
9.
Plastic baggies for your wet
wonderfulness
10. Anything else Allanagh reckons might be a good idea
If you’re not into felt balls and you’d
prefer to buy them from Latvia, then that is fine too, just bring your own
project and carry on with that, there is no pressure to do what else is
happening in the fine Ladies Lounge…
