And you can too! This Sunday, 18 March the Canberra Brown Owls will be using shrink plastic to make, well, whatever you’d like! There are plenty of tutorials and ideas around if you google ‘shrinky dink’ or poly shrink, and of course Pinterest and Flickr have heaps of inspiration too!
We’ll have the shrink plastic sheets for purchase at cost and some permanent markers, a hole punch and a light-box available for use.
What to bring
- You’ll need an image or idea of what you’d like to do with your shrinky, and if you want special colours then you can bring your own permanent markers. If you plan to make a brooch or pendant then you’ll need findings and adhesive. I believe you can also use some stamps/pencils on the plastic – but we’ve not tested it and can’t endorse that approach!
- $5 for room hire and a couple of dollars for shrink paper.
- A plate of something to share if you’d like.
