The first Sydney Brown Owls meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 5 from 7-10PM at Centre House, Lane Cove. It is an old brick house a few minutes walk from a bus stop.
Our meeting room is attached to the kitchen and has french doors which open onto a big deck. There are chairs and big tables, and we will be able to take tables and chairs out on the deck also.
The first meeting will cost $5 (maximum, depending on numbers) as there is a small room hire fee. We will endeavour to get venues that do not have a cost for future meetings.
You can either bring your own crafting project or there will be kits available for purchase for $5 for beginning crafters or those who would like to do something different.
Refreshments will be provided or you can bring your own. Please bring a cup along as well for tea or coffee.

*Edit: only the first meeting will be on a Thursday night, we're looking to rotate the days of the meetings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that everyone can come at least once!*

Sorry folks. I won't be able to make Thursday night meetings until Term II of the school year. I have a Girl Guide meeting to run Thursday evenings. Hope to see you all middle of the year.
Hi There, SO excited about the first meeting, this is my RSVP to say I'll be attending. Do I need to let anyoe know in advance if I would like to purchase the craft kit on the night?

Just a quick note - Jess will change it on the original post - the address for Centre House is 178 Longueville Rd (not 78). It's across the road from Lane Cove Public School, in the block past the shops. If you're getting public transport there are a lot of express buses from the city (it's about a 15 min ride) that stop near the corner of Epping Road and Longueville Rd. It's about a 5 min walk from there.

Lovely owls - comment HERE if you will be needing a craft kit please! There will be only one or two extra for forgetful owls - so be sure to let us know!
Also bring any crafty things you'd like to share or show off! Craft books and mags are always a GREAT idea - and it's nice to share!

I've been following the Meet Me at Mike's and the Brown Owl blogs for a while and was delighted to see that there is a division here in Sydney.
I've just recently taken up knitting, crocheing and sewing and would love some girls to meet up with and learn more from.
