Dresses for Haiti!

At the beginning of the month the Sunshine Coast Brown Owls got together to make pillow case dresses for Haiti!

It was a lovely afternoon, and our dresses are being sent off to Haiti now to clothe some beautiful children! Kim was our fearless leader this week, and she showed everyone how to make these dresses!

Our next Sunshine Coast meetup will be on the 13th August, 2-4pm (place to be confirmed). We'll all just be focusing on our own projects, so just bring along whatever you're working on. I'll also be seeing who's interesting in doing a mixed media weekend workshop, so keep your eyes our for more info on here about that!

Email Talia at talia.carbis (@) gmail.com or Text 0410 400 366 for more info!

For now we'll leave you with some photo of our July's pillow case dress fun! All photo credited to Erin from Reskew'd.

Grouse idea! Do you have a link to a pattern or site for Haiti? We Launny owls might jump on that bandwagon. The dresses look fab!

You are my kind of a group! Your dresses are very sweet, it must have been a fun meeting. Too bad I live on the other side of the world.

Hi @Mrs Smith,

With Haiti, it was a friend of Kim's (one of our member's) who was going over there, so there's no site or anything.
If you wanted to send me an email though, I can get you in touch with her to send some that way.
