The lovely Narelle (@ohmissohara) will be teaching us how to make jersey scarves and bracelets this month! Perfect for this lovely spring weather we are having in the middle of winter! Fellow owls Adelaide and Brunswick have also made these recently too!
Date: Thursday 11th August
Venue: Miss Jackson 2/19 Grey St, St. Kilda (through the big rusty gate)
What to bring:
~ 50cm cotton jersey or an old t-shirt
~ make sure it's a fabric that will roll in on itself when cut and stretched
~ maybe make it 1m if you want to make a bracelet too
~ if you have a rotary cutter and a cutting mat that would be ace, if not scissors will be fine
~ a ruler or measuring tape and pins might be handy too
We will have a few sewing machines to finish them off on the night.
Here are some tutorials for jersey and t-shirt scarves and bracelets
And of course BYO is always welcome if you don't fancy a scarf!
Sustenance: We will have tea, wine and baked goodies to keep us going
Feel free to bring along something if you are a bit of a baker!
If winter decides to return we'll have the open fire going too

If you have any questions feel free to email or tweet
Yay! See you next week!
