Brisbane: Basket weaving with fabric
Discover the craft of coil basket weaving with fabric! The perfect way to use up your fabric scraps and create a functional bowl or basket.
When: Sunday 16 June, 10:30am-12:30pm or 12:30-2:30pm
Where: Brisbane Square Library, 266 George Street, Brisbane CBD
What to bring:
1. Fabric. You can use any fabric for this one including t-shirt yarn. Upcycling is always best so pop along to your local op shop for some fabric or old damaged sheets or head to Reverse Garbage where there is loads of fabric offcuts.
2. Scissors
3. Yarn, string, twine or thin cord to weave with
4. A needle with a large enough eye to fit your yarn, string or cord. Plastic needles are great if you can get a hold of one otherwise large wool needles work just as well.
